Oracle May get Network Virtualization Technology School Xsigo.
Oracle has acquired network virtualization technology company Xsigo Tips for an undisclosed amount, u .s citizens announced this morning.
Xsigo allows large enterprise brands like eBay, British Telecom and Verizon wireless to basically connect any server with the network and storage merit to its software-defined networking usefulness.
In that aspect, Xsigo complements Oracle’s computer system software, server, storage, and relationship product portfolio.
For Oracle, it’ tilis the sixth acquisition this year.It has recently snapped up companies like Skire, Involver, Vitrue where as Collective Intellect.The company recently mentioned very solid earnings in the past quarter.
Says John Fowler, Oracle Executive Vp of Systems:
“ The proliferation of virtualized servers in the past decades has made the virtualization of the supporting network connections primary.With Xsigo, customers can lessen the complexity and simplify curing their clouds by formulating compute, storage and network resources that is absolutely dynamically reallocated on-demand.”
The transaction vary customary closing conditions and approvals along with being expected to close in late 2012.Until then, both firms say they will continue to operate independently.
After the transaction closes, Xsigo technology is predicted to be integrated with a Oracle stack, providing a whole lot of “ complete set on the virtualization capabilities for fog up environments”.
Xsigo management and staff is expected to join Oracle, u .s citizens said in a message.
Xsigo was originally well established in 2004 and headquartered in San Jose, California.U .s citizens raised funding from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Journeys, Greylock Partners and Northern Bridge Venture Partners, and the like.
